There is nothing wrong with being a little frugal when it comes to your style. I have found great ways to save money on my style and I want to share them with you. I know Jeffery really appreciates my savvy styling.

1) Mix High-End With Low-End

This is a great way to save money on your style. We all have one or two items in our closet that we have invested in, mainly because we all know they last a bit longer.

So why not change up your high-end style with simple and affordable fashion changes?

This can be inexpensive jewelry or just simple layering pieces like a vest, jacket, scarf, and shoes or maybe even a fun purse or clutch.

2) Disguise Budget Friendly Clothing

Purchase a slip or an appropriate undergarment. Inexpensive clothing usually isn’t lined, so the addition of a slip will prevent any wardrobe malfunctions.

—-

3) Fabric is Important

Tweed, cotton, and linen often look expensive, even if they’re not. This will give you the feel of better quality clothing.

—-

4) Keep Your Style Dark

Finding darker clothing keeps your look looking higher end instead of budget friendly.

—-

5) Do Not Over Wash or Dry

To keep you more frugal styles in shape and looking like you just bought them off the rack be sure to not over-wash and avoid drying them.

—-

6) Simple Changes

If you bought a dress with a cheaper belt or ribbon attached, simply change out the belt or the ribbon with better quality or color.

7) Shoes

Change out your shoes every so often. Find two, three or maybe four different pairs that you like to wear throughout each season and change them out every two to three weeks to keep them in tip-top shape.

These may be your everyday shoes or even work shoes. Also, find a store that repairs shoes. I know a lot of people enjoy investing in a good pair of shoes. Finding someone that can repair your shoes after they have been worn a few times can help you save money on your shoe purchases.

We all have a pair of shoes that go with just about everything in our closet and feel good on our feet so take care of them.

If you have a pair of shoes that are outdated then there is absolutely no point in keeping them. It might be time to find new ones and bid farewell to the old. You can certainly budget this.

8) Think Functional First

Buy a few basic pieces and avoid the temptation of following trends that may not last a season.

Combine timeless basics with stylish accessories instead, and you’ll have a versatile wardrobe that should be suitable for any occasion, and your budget.

9) Be Creative

It’s fun to be creative with your style. Simply taking your inexpensive clothes and adding a creative touch can be fun, fashionable, and affordable.

10) Research

Still life of a fashion creative space.
Go to Pinterest, fashion magazines, or your favorite bloggers to get ideas for your budget-friendly wardrobe. This goes with being creative.

—-

11) Keep Clothes Pressed and Tailored

We all know that wrinkled clothes and clothes that are not tailored are a quick way look inexpensive.

12) Shop Smart

You can find high-end clothing at your local bargain stores or online. Don’t feel like you need to drop a lot of money on high-end bargains. Research your style and see what you can find somewhere else.
