So here is a fashion question for my Centsibly Southern Chic friends:
Have you ever been out shopping and just wanted something so badly but you knew that it just wasn’t a good time to purchase?
Can you shop and try on clothing without purchasing it, no matter how much you love it, even if there is only one in stock at a great price in your size?
I am curious…you all know I love great bargains and being able to find amazing outfits or pieces to make outfits.
Well, I ventured out today to see if I could step away from buying that perfect outfit at that perfect price. My goal was to see if I could simply try on something or some things that I found at wonderful prices, with the idea of just walking away without purchasing them.
I did just that!
After trying everything on even with the amazing prices I just simply walked away. Surprisingly my creative juices were just a flowing after I did that.
I came home and went styling crazy!!!
You never know…that outfit that was screaming your name in the store..
Buy me! Buy me!
could end up being the worst outfit you purchased simply because you thought it was a great deal.
You might be surprised by what you have hanging in your closet. And we all know It COULD DEFINITELY be a win win for your pocket book and for your creative style. So don’t feel like you have to always spend money on something new.
The moral of the story is we don’t always have to buy something to make us happy or feel good, and that even goes with everyday life.
Have some fun at trying to make the best of what you have and making it something fun and new for you!
Give me your feedback! I want to know if you could walk away from that perfect outfit!
xoxo
God Bless,
Laura
I must admit that it is a HUGE struggle for me to walk away from a great bargain on something that I really like! However, I have done it many time just because I knew I didn’t have the money to spend on clothing at the time. There have, of course, been times when I did give in though. ;-) I have found though that sometimes when you buy at a bargain, you end up getting what you pay for. It really wasn’t something of good quality that will last more than a few months!
Caitlin, I have too found some good bargains too good not to pass up.
