Not every style or trend works for everyone. It’s a matter of finding what works best for you and your body type.

I would love to be able to pull off all those fun fashion forward trends that are featured in our latest magazines. I have tried. Some have worked out and others have not.

I’ve figured out some ways to turn those those epic failures around by trying to find different ways to wear the latest trends that suit my body.

For starters, don’t run to the store in your work out gear and no make up expecting to walk out with exactly you had in mind for your particular style.

I’m all about comfort when it comes to shopping. I know how crazy life gets. By the time you drop the kids off at the school it’s time to pick them up again. On your weekends you just want to sit back and relax and not deal with the stress of shopping. Maybe you just hate to shop. You are an in and out, special occasion type of gal.

I get it ladies, but let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment. If you are in any of the categories above then you might want to take note.

1) Undergarments

Be sure when you step out of your house you have the appropriate undergarments on.

Believe me, nothing is going to fit you right when you are wearing your sport bra. It’s called a sports bra for a reason.

2) Makeup

Make sure you have a little make up on. This might be something that sounds silly, but ladies we all know that a little blush can go a long way.

When you are trying on clothes it’s great to have color literally from head to toe. This gives you an idea of how the material colors play with your skin tone.

It doesn’t have to be a lot of makeup, just apply what defines you. For example, mine would be blush, mascara and a little gloss.

3) Fix that Hair

Please have your hair done even if it’s just pulled back.

Take pictures of yourself in each outfit you try on in the dressing room.  I find that this helps me narrow my decision down and allows me to go back and see what I did or didn’t like about each ensemble.

Maybe put together some ideas that you might be looking for in regard to your style. This will help make your shopping stress free.
