Yes, the title is long, but it’s something all of us ladies wonder. Can we actually have style and comfort when it comes to a family vacation?

Well, I just recently experienced this with my family. I will say I packed way too much!

So while I break down the 411’s on your comfiest and fashion forward theme park style, I’m going to show you how to keep your packing to a minimum.

1. Comfort

This requirement trumps all the others. However, don’t think comfort can’t be stylish.

2. Workout Clothes

My choice of comfort was wearing my favorite workout pant from Old Navy.

I paired them with my everyday wear like t-shirts, sweaters, a scarf or a light cardigan.

They were also sweat and water resistant.

3. Light Layers

In case it’s a little cooler in the mornings you might want to pack some light scarves with a fun print, jackets, sweaters, cardigans and workout jackets are great to bring as well.

If you are going in the summer of course you need to keep your style a little cooler.

Flip flops are not easy to walk around in all day long, so find a stylish summer walking shoe that you can pair with your shorts or workout attire.

4. Prepare Yourself for Walking

Understand you will be walking a lot. Alright ladies, I want to stress this to you.

You will walk/run a lot that’s why it’s very important to find a comfortable and stylish shoe that will go with majority of the clothes you packed.

Don’t think you can wear your favorite heels and survive. You wouldn’t believe how many people I saw wearing heels. They looked really cute, but I’m quite sure their feel felt terrible by the end of the day.

Running around with kids and standing in line for 45mins to an hour in heels is asking for trouble when it comes to trying to enjoy your themed park adventures.

Do wear these shoes:

I had one pair of brown sketchers that I wore with everything. I love them and they were so comfortable. I gave myself a little style with my accessories.

I was a little questionable about the flips flops below but, I love her casual skirt. This would work for the summer months. I love the other mom’s style…cute and causal.

Don’t wear these shoes, ouch!

I love the girls outfit with the brown ankle boots in the below picture. Her feet were probably hurting by the end of the day though.

5. You Will Get Wet

If it’s from a ride or just sweat, just plan on getting wet. This is why wearing the most comfortable and fast drying articles of clothing is extremely important.

Take a poncho or light rain jacket that you can pack away in your back pack for all those wet rides.

6. Take a Back Pack

This is great to pack refreshments like water and a few snacks to save you money and time standing in lines. It also allows you to pack extra layers that you need to add on or take off throughout the day.

7. Packing Lessons Learned

I packed way too much! I always pack one or two going out outfits, but honestly we never go out on these trips. We are all so exhausted from the day that we just want to go to bed.

So pack according to the season as stated above. See if they have a washer and dryer and take your own detergent this will help with cost when washing. If they don’t have a washer just wash your items in the hotel sink…if needed!

Pack light, with layers. If you feel the need to take a nice outfit take one pair of pants or skirt and change out your blouse or jewelry. Just keep it simple.
