I was so thrilled when Julie called me to come help her revamp her style. We all get to a point in our life where it’s just so hard to take time for ourselves. That’s where I come in!
Julie had a closet full of clothes but wanted to find new ways to wear them. A lot of us are so used to what I call ‘grab and go’ when it comes to shopping.
Meaning, we like to grab items off the gorgeously styled mannequin and go with the same style.
It’s quick, it’s easy and we think it’s workable. The same concept goes with those fun clothing shows. We are so used to seeing the styles one way and that makes the ‘grab and go’ an easy choice.
But, one style does not fit every woman! I can help you figure out how to mix in these fashion items with different items in your wardrobe and make those styles last from season to season.
I had such a great time with Julie! We got rid of a lot of items in her wardrobe that were just not right for her and her current style.
We also worked in a bunch of new items she had recently purchased and found some vintage pieces to add to her new pieces. I wanted to show Julie how to get out of her routine when it comes to her everyday style and how to mix those pieces up.
No more black and white and no more grab and go!
We now have a fun, age appropriate look for Julie.
Thank you so much for letting Centsibly Southern come and revamp your wardrobe and closet. You are just precious and it was such a treat to work with you!
One thing that I love about my job is when I pull out items in a closet that a client has never worn and I incorporate them into an outfit!
Check out Julie’s camel boots! A lighter shoe or boot can give you simple proportion from top to bottom and it’s another way to change-up your style and make it new!
We even did a little color blocking and added the boots for the same effect as the pictures above.
Layering is the key to changing up your style
Mixing up your styles are a great way to make a change to your wardrobe
Winter to spring
We pulled out all the stops with this black blazer.
We also pulled out some cute dresses, blouses, and tunics that Julie was had worn once or never wore at all and showed her how to layer pieces for her new style.
It’s still cool in the spring. Instead of wearing your favorite cardigan change-up your style a little with a fur vest and your favorite spring blouse.
I wanted to make this dress look more age appropriate so I added a few layers. The ruffled white blouse and cardigan help with that look.
Julie just wore everyone’s goto color black, with these fun printed pants. I wanted you to see how easy it is to change up your basic style simply by adding color and a fun layer.
This was the perfect Denim jacket for Julie. When you purchase jacket, blazers, and cardigans make sure they for your shape and work with your style.
I like to throw in some fun ideas for styles… so I found this ribbon on one of Julie’s outfits and added it to her blouse.
Here are a few items that I would like for Julie to add to her wardrobe
- Dresses
- Heels
- Jewelry
- Gray Tights
- Pops of color
Thanks again Julie,
I had a blast and you look amazing!
