I have had a lot of my audience ask me about wearing lace. Well, my thoughts summed up are – what a gorgeous piece of fabric!

Lace is definitely a Southern ladies style go to. It’s not just a summer or spring trend. It’s a classic style that can be carried both into the fall and winter months.

The great thing about this trend is it’s very versatile and can be dressed up or down. With all the Christmas parties/events coming up this is a perfect go to style for anyone.

I am pretty sure everyone has at least one item of lace in their closet.

This traditional fabric instantly adds a bit of glam and sophistication to a variety of winter ensembles.

Here are some suggestions on how you can easily look current and on the edge of high fashion by adding just a bit of lace to all your seasonal outfits.

Mix Up Soft and Edgy

A fun way to add this trend into outfits you already own is to pair lacy accessories with more masculine styles.

Example – Wear your favorite jean with your detailed lace blouse, layer your lace with a fun sweater, blazer or jacket.

Maybe even add a little leather to your lace. This can be in your pant or skirt.

The contrast between the softness of the lace and the simple lines of the more masculine pieces will create a very striking effect.

Take a Fashion Chance on Lace Accessories

Try a clutch or simple scarf or even lace detail in your shoes. Less is always more, keep you lace simple.

Pull off the style using one piece of your wardrobe.

Example – A skirt, add a chunky sweater and your favorite lace tights. Don’t over do it with lace from head toe.

Go Lacy with Your Leggings or Tights

Example-A pretty pair of lace leggings or tights can really add some fashion fun to a basic black outfit. You can pair this fun style with a simple black dress or skirt. This can really take your outfit to an elegant style for all those holiday parties you will be attending.

Pop of Color

If you feel really wild try to add a little color of lace. You can downplay the color with any neutral tone.

Step outside your comfort zone and take advantage of this fashion trend to make your seasonal outfits very memorable.
