As most of you know my grandmother Maw was called to be with the Lord several weeks ago. I have had so much going on between now and then that I have not been able to post the little write up I did about her.
God has blessed us with a close and loving family and with that it’s been so nice to have my family and friends to lean on.
There are small moments that I will tear up a little, but this reassures me that I am grateful for the time that we shared together as well as the many memories I have.
There is nothing like grandparents and I certainly adore them all! Maw will be missed but I know she will always be here in my heart and is enjoying her garden in heaven.
She loved her great grand babies.
Maw had such a creativeness about her. She loved nature, color, and we both shared a love for building things although we laughed because neither of us could measure things right. This always led to a major mess up in whatever we would of built.
She was a character that’s for sure. Strong willed, independent and had such a love for her family and friends. I’m so blessed to have those creative genes passed on to me.
I will miss
- Her spunk
- Her love for nature
- Her beautiful arrangement of flowers
- Her working in the garden when I pull up to her house
- Her sitting on her sofa and watching her favorite soap on her off days from the garden (which were very rare)
- Her early morning birthday calls
Those are things I will miss, but I’m so very blessed to have those precious memories of her. So every time I style a client, write a blog, or make a board/frame I know that I got that inspiration from Maw.
We only have one life to live and a short amount of time to enjoy it and to make that impression. God blessed us with a wonderful, loving grandmother.
She was one of a kind with a strong spirit. I can say I’m so blessed to be able to have shared something special to the both of us, our birthday Dec the 29th, a wonderful day indeed.
If you have someone special in your life, a friend, family member, child, grandchild, be sure to make an impression that they will always remember and make it good and worth talking about. That’s what Maw did.
One major impression that she left on me and I hope to continue to share and leave with my family and friends with is despite your differences in life always remember who you are and where you came from and that God gives you these precious blessings to always remember and hold on to.
