Hey ladies. I’m back and I’m here to show you some great ways on how to take a simple dress and transition it from day to night. I know we’ve got a lot of those dresses in our closet and I’m here to show you how to do that with just a simple ribbon or a scarf as I’ve got on right now or even jewelry.
Right now I’m wearing a scarf that I pulled out that I’ve had for about two years and this dress I’ve had for about three years. It’s solid, which helps and there’s not a lot of detail in it as well which helps as far as transitioning and making it easy and simple and inexpensive at that.
So I’ve taken a scarf and you can see I’ve tied it in the back and I’ve sewed it on this side and I attached it with a pin on this side just so you could see what I did as far as the detail of it.
I’ve tied it in the back and it just kind of gives a little pop of color to the simple blue dress which is always fun. That’s my advice to any of you ladies if you’ve got a solid black dress or a blue dress, always add a little pop of color because it makes it fun and it makes it a little more elegant at the same time.
Anyway, with that said I’ve got it tied in the back and you can easily do this with a ribbon or a sash too. It makes it a lot of fun. You can take it, if you don’t want to tie it like that in the back and tie it into a nice bow as well.
This is just something that doesn’t cost you a lot of money and you probably have hanging in your closet or tucked away in your drawers. These are great ideas that everybody needs to kind of be aware of as far as saving money and trying to add to their wardrobes.
Once again, I just turned it around and added it and tied it into a bow in the back. A ribbon would be wonderful at this as well if you get some cut ribbon or some cut fabric, you can also do that.
I just simply attached it to right here with a safety pin which is easy to do and I sewed it on this side.
Easy to do ladies, try it and who knows you may be the talk of the town that night. Try it, it will be fun. Just some easy tips for you to save some money and still look stylish and fashionable.
Thanks a bunch and I’ll see you ladies soon. Bye bye.
This is an old video below but I wanted you to see the versatility with the ribbon.
Hello everyone. I’m back and I just wanted to go ahead and start showing you guys my dresses that I picked for next weekend’s event.
This is a simple dress that I bought last year. I had it altered. It’s navy blue and I don’t know if you can see it in the video and I took a ribbon off of another dress and added it to this dress to give it a little detail.
To me it’s kind of plain and to add a pop of color here and there is always fun. And that goes with any part of your wardrobe. Just add a simple cream ribbon and it just kind of adds a little to the tiered dress.
It’s strapless and I’m funny about strapless sometimes which most of us are and so I added a little necklace to make it look like it was part of the dress to give it a little more detail and it kind of makes the dress a little more flashier.
Along with my shoes, that are pink and kind of blend in with the blue dress. Navy blue you can do a lot with as far as colors. Branch out, go a little bit. It takes a simple dress and you just add a little like I did in this.
And of course you see my silver clutch. This is the first dress. I will turn around for you. And if you want to you can always take the ribbon off as well. I wanted to show you that option.
Hope you guys like it.
Easy and fun look.
Try this out with your dresses and send me pictures of your “look for less” make over.
