Smiling lady looking through her clothes
Well, it’s official, I have always been on a budget, but now I can say I am on strict budget.  This means I can’t even buy something that is redlined or even extra, extra redlined.

I was telling Jeffery the other day that I feel like I don’t have anything in my closet. Yes, I do say this from time to time as well, ladies.

But then he informs me, Yes, you do!

Actually, I do have more than Jeffery, poor fella. He then turned to me and reminded me of what I do by saying,

“Isn’t that your job, to be creative and figure how to use every piece of clothing in your closet?”

I laughed and said, yep, you got me!

A little reminder from God through the mouth of my loving husband, whom I am so blessed to have in my life. What a kick in my Centsibly Southern Chic booty.

After that little kick, I got creative.

No need to shop, I just enjoyed looking through my favorite style magazines and Pinterest to get some great styles to last up until the New Year.

God is using me to share with you that a lot of us ladies can’t get out and spend a ton of money or possibly any money at all. So it sounds like to me he’s using our journey for so many different reasons including this one.

Note to self: I can’t say I don’t have anything in my closet. I am here to show you and myself how to be resourceful and how to enjoy your style.

Praise The Lord, one more thing that I have prayed about when it comes to this journey and God answered it. How awesome is that! That’s why he is allowing both Jeffery and I to ride this roller coaster together.

Enjoy some tips and styles that came directly from my closet during a time of despair. I even put my items in a shopping bag so you would get the full effect. LOL!  Love you, mean it!

First, lets get our closet organized.

This is my closet. I cleaned out and got organized. This allowed me to see what I had to work with. (missing image)

Research
Find outfits on pinterest or in you favorite fashion blogs or style magazines and start your creative juices flowing.  Treat your wardrobe like a  creative canvas.

Fun with a Midi Skirt
I bought a midi skirt this spring and I am now able to wear it through the fall and winter. Found my favorite sweater and black ankle boots from last year and I have a brand new outfit!

Maxi dresses can be a winter and fall staple for your wardrobe. It all about layering.

I bought this dress last year. Sometimes we have items that we haven’t figured out when, where, or how to wear them.

See what you can do with those items that are still brand new. Like I did in the picture below. I know this dress will look great in the winter with my faux leather black jacket, black tights and black ankle boots. (missing image)

Buy clothes that are seasonless and versatile.

I hope you got some great tips and understand that you don’t need to shop to update your wardrobe.  Simply see what you may have hanging in your closet and have fun creating your new style.
