Hey friends happy Friday to you all!
I wanted to share with you a something that has been heavy my heart. Last night I attended a beautiful event in honor of my sweet friend Erin’s sister Elliot who passed away from ovarian cancer. The event was called Elliot’s Light.
I took my aunt Betsy and we ran into some friends there as well. Not only did we go to support my friend Erin and her family, but I was there to learn more about this deadly disease.
There are so many words that we could use for cancer however, a very NASTY disease is really what it is.
Feel free to call it what you want whatever your choice of words it’s good to know that we are all angry with this disease and we are all fighting for it to just go away!
The night could not have been more beautiful. I enjoyed hearing the testimony of Elliot’s family and how she lived to work hard at fighting this disease and how her family continues to do so, along with her amazing doctors, friends and random strangers.
I was overcome with emotion and will to fight harder for those who are affected by ovarian cancer.
To top the night off, we all were not only given to the opportunity to hear Elliot’s testimony but a testimony of another amazing cancer survivor Valisia LaKae. We all were blown away by her story.
Let’s just say I felt honored being in a room with some strong women who are the ultimate fighters with God on their side!
What I want to share with you and you will see this in the video posted below, is to help someone through their journey in life. It doesn’t matter what kind of journey they are on always let someone know you care.
Enjoy my bargain outfit for the night!
