Excuse the long video and the few mess ups, I am trying to figure out how to edit these things and clearly I have not figured it out yet.
At least you can get a good laugh. Happy Thanksgiving!
OK, so we are all on a fashion budget from time to time.
Maybe you have a big event coming up, maybe other expenses need to be paid before you purchase that $80.00 dress, or you might just feel like it’s not yet time to update your wardrobe.
Whatever your reason may be the one we can all relate to is that, we are all spent out, and we all know that being fashionable will not pay the bills.
I’m going to give you a few tips on how to enjoy your wardrobe without spending a lot of money or possibly no money at all. It’s all about statement pieces.
This doesn’t mean you need to go out and buy entirely new clothes. Statement pieces can allow you to enjoy items in your closet with the luxury of looking like you just bought them from your favorite retail stores. This is your own personal way of being creative with your style. Enjoy these tips below.
In my opinion, this is the number one statement piece in my fashion handbook. It’s the perfect way to bring life to an outfit and enhance your best features.
Jewelry can really change up any style.
For example: If you have a plain t-shirt or dress then throw on a fun statement piece necklace, bracelets and earrings and your have taken that simple style to silly fabulous with little to no money.
I have found costume jewelry from several of my favorite stores that run various sales in their jewelry.
I love a large purse. Now, the size of your purse depends on you and your style.
There are many reason I carry a larger purse one being that it’s fashionably friendly. I think it can really make an outfit pop or stand out. I also have a little one so there are times when that larger purse comes in handy.
Make sure when you purchase this statement piece you find something that will work with several items or outfit in your wardrobe.
Invest in one print and one solid color. I love a blue, mustard or camel color. These add a little pop of color but are subtle when it comes to style and these colors go with practically everything and can be a fun look for your simple style.
But, if you prefer the basics then stick with grays and browns. These are subtle but still gives your outfit the statement that it needs.
3. Scarves and Cardigans
Anything that can be used as a simple layer is the perfect statement piece to have in your wardrobe. Have fun with prints and pops of colors when it comes to layering up with scarves and cardigans.
These are easy changeable transitional pieces that can take anything from your favorite t-shirt, shorts, jeans, or dress into a chic and adorable change of style.
The best part about all three statement pieces is that you can be creative simply by combining all of the above together.
You will see that the end results will be beneficial when it comes to the uniqueness of your wardrobe and have a little less money coming out of your wallet.
This is definitely a win win in the fashion and styling world.
