First time flying all by myself. I was nervous but so excited!
As soon as I got off the airplane, I was overwhelmed with excitement. To be honest with you, I seriously had to tell myself over and over, “This is real Laura, you finally made it”!

I found the first cab and headed into the Big City.
I have always dreamed of going to New York City and I will say it was definitely worth the wait.
God’s timing was just perfect when he planned this big adventure. He opened up doors for me and I am so very grateful for that. What an amazing adventure!

There was a lot of walking and subway riding. I loved it!
My Home tee was so much fun to wear. My kimono came from Ross for $19.99

My dress came from Old Navy, extra 40 percent off. Shoes are Payless $12.99.

We visited the Today show and central park. I got to meet Natalie and she said she loved my necklace. It’s the little things that make me smile.
Sweet Tina helped me hold my sign up at the Today show. What a great friend.

Thanks to a sweet friend we he bought us tickets to on the 2nd row to watch Something Rotten. Can we say I was rotten when I was on this trip?

Centsibly Southern Chic was able to bring in some styling tips to New York and even visit the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). What a dream come to for this southern stylist and they were so kind.
We also went to Broadway plays, the Today Show, where we were able to meet Natalie Morales, jogging on the Hudson River and in Manhattan, taking a wild spin class that kicked my butt, Central Park, shopping, the food, and much more while incorporating my styling skills in Jen’s closet.
Sound like a lot? That was only half of it. You definitely need a good two weeks in New York, maybe even longer.
The amazing thing about all of this is who would have ever thought Centsibly Southern Chic would have made it to the Big Apple. Such an exciting time for me and my business.

My Tie Dye dress was from Ross $15.99

We found a Ferris wheel at the Toys R Us in Times Square. It was so much fun!

This was so much fun visiting the CFDA. Thank you Mary for taking us on a tour.

There is so much fashion in New York City.

Love all my New York Friends. I hope to see you all very soon.

Jen, I am so blessed to have a precious new client and friend like you.
Your hospitality, kind heart, support and trust in me has filled my heart with so much joy. You welcomed me with an open heart.
As soon as I walked up to your front door and gave you a big hug. (We are big huggers in my family – I even hugged the taxi driver and doorman, the airline lady and another random stranger on the street.)
I felt so welcomed. I was truly thrilled about being in New York. Full of hugs, love, and southern smiles.
I will say, it felt like Jen and I had known each other for years. It felt like home. She’s just beautiful inside and out.

Here are my shoes I bought from Kohl’s. Originally $80.00, bought for $40.00. The brand is Rock Republic.

Jen, Carl, and friends, I’m so ready to get back and see you guys. I will admit a little piece of me was super sad about leaving, but I knew I needed to get back home to my southern roots and my family and share this big adventure with them.
I was so excited. Sorry for the picture overload. This was a southern stylist’s dream come true.
Couldn’t leave without getting a New York Bagel and one more picture. I was so sad because I truly felt like I was at home. Glad I can always have these pictures to look back on.
Gosh, I have so many pictures that I could share with you but not enough time. I had a blast! I hope you enjoyed looking at my big adventure just as much as I enjoyed going on it.
Looks like you had a great time. My brother has been living in NY for the past 2 years and he absolutely loves it (funny enough, since he moved to NY he’s actually become somewhat fashionable as well). Love the pics – and it looks like you picked up some good bargains.
I loved it there Kelly. I am ready to go back! thank you.
Wow, it looks as though you had an amazing time. I really like the photo of you with the Statue of Liberty in the background. And I love your shoes, they’re fabulous! I adore New York and New York fashion. Can you now give us a photo tour of Montogomery! It’s wonderful to see pictures of New York but I’d be interested to see photos of your home town too.
I will certainly try Jane. Thanks for reading my post. I had a blast and I had so much fun pulling out all of my fun styles.
