I can’t tell you how excited Centsibly Southern is to introduce you to two of my three clients that I had the pleasure of styling and doing wardrobe makeovers. All three women had different styles as well as different personalities and that made it even more enjoyable to work with these lovely ladies.
Two of my sweet clients Amye and Mary Abigail are stay at home moms who wanted to update their easy-going mom style. I showed these ladies how to take simple styles and transform them into an everyday workable on-the-go mom style.
I think every mommy needs to experience the trends and fun styles. We all get stuck in fashion ruts from time to time and us moms deserve to treat ourselves to a fun new look too. I had a great time beauty bargain shopping with both Amye and Mary Abigail.
I always say there is not enough time in the day to enjoy these fun moments with these sweet ladies. There is nothing like a great day of shopping and having someone style you, right? This even goes for ladies who don’t have kiddos like my friend Traci.
Traci was in need of a good closet clean out. She had the clothes, she just needed a little guidance in to what to put together as far as her style. We were able to clean out her closet by getting rid of some old stuff and then incorporated some new clothes in with her old ones.
Traci had a closet all of us ladies would dream of having in our house; it was an extra bed room that she transformed into one big closet. The bad thing about having a closet that large, is that it’s hard cleaning out sometimes, and that’s where I came in handy!
I found Traci a fun new style that was age appropriate and affordable.
I can’t tell you how much fun I had. I love my new Centsibly Southern friends and I want to thank them for all of their support. I look forward to working with you ladies in the near future. God bless you all!
Let the styling begin….
Like Mary Abigail, Amye wanted to find versatile mommy styles that were age appropriate and fun. So we cleaned out her closet. And I mean cleaned out ladies!!! We went shopping and found her outfits and styles that fit her shape as well as her personality. No pics of Amye. But, I did want to tell her thank you for trusting me to help you with your fun new look! xxxx
Like I said above, Traci has an amazing closet along with an amazing personality. Like all of these sweet ladies she had to puther trust in me to help her find her style and give her closet a nice new makeover.
Her closet is every girl’s dream. It is one big room! This can cause you to buy more and clean out less. Once again, this is where I came in handy.
We got Traci ready for the fall and winter season simply by getting rid of items in her closet that she was hanging on to and had not worn in a while or items that we just needed to replace with a more updated look.
I created new outfits by combining some of her older clothes and some of her new clothes. It’s so nice to clean out your closet at least once per season. I clean mine out every 6 months.
Simply by doing this you can possibly find and incorporate new styles in with your wardrobe or give your old clothes a new home. I always talk about doing clothing swaps and if you have clothes that are still updated as far as style, if you have lost or gained weight or if you just bought something that still has tags on it because you thought you would wear it at some point.
It might be the perfect thing for you.
Here was my outfit for the day of styling
Here are some pics of her enormous closet and a few of the clothes we got rid of…
This was after we organized
A few of the clothes that we donated/consigned.
See how many styles we found for Traci simply by going through her closet and piecing items together. And I wanted to show you a before picture of how Traci would typically wear her clothes. It is still cute, we just updated with a more trendy style.
Here is what I did:
I took a fun striped button up and mixed the two prints, this is fun and great way to incorporate a new trend. I also wanted to pair this whimsical skirt with a ruffled black top that Traci had hanging in her closet.
Traci bought some fun color pants. She wasn’t sure how or what to wear with them. Check it out!
I also wanted to show her how to wear this fun fur vest….
The pants below were a rust color pant, I paired them with a pink, button up polo shirt. Styled it up with riding boots and a fur vest. I love this look!!!
Ok, I love mixing my prints. And we did this with turquoise blouse with feathers on it. This was bought to wear in the summer but see how we made it more seasonal, simply by pairing it up with her rust colored pants.
Then we added the floral scarf, which is a perfect mix of the same colors to blend fun prints.
For those cooler days or nights throw on your favorite jacket or cardigan.
Here we mixed prints, but with a fun sleeveless cardigan and a fun, bohemian chic hat.
More of the rust jean…
Traci bought this fun shrug and she wasn’t sure how or what to wear with it. I paired it with her rust jeans and boots and now she’s ready for the fall.
Cobalt blue pants:
Now for some Mint Green. See how I am color blocking and blending colors:
As soon as I walked into Traci’s closet I saw this floral skirt. I thought, wow, this could be great style potential.
I love this Bohemian style look on Traci. She looks like she just walked off a runway!
I love all of her looks, but this ended up be my most creative and versatile look. This jacket came with a simple black dress(I think we got rid of the dress) But I saw how much potential this sweater/jacket had.
Ladies, you can make cardigans, jackets, shrugs..etc.. part of your wardrobe like we did here. I paired this fun look with black tights, ankle shoes, and the ruffled black top in the pictures above.
Now you have another walk off the runway look. I love this Traci!
This pink skirt had some blue, green, yellow details in it. I really wanted change it up with some fun color and new style. So I added a royal blue ruffled blouse, brown belt and brown riding boots. This is another way to color block ladies, especially when you have the details in the skirt such as this.
Adding a blazer for that cooler air.
Here is another fun way to mix prints.
Take that basic skirt and give it a little change like I did here.
This button up shirt dress was in Traci’s summer closet. I pulled it out and showed her how to transition it into the fall.
Don’t be afraid to try this out with some of your summer dress or clothes ladies. If the material, color, and style is right…then go for it!
Added a cardigan.
Here are some pics that Traci sent me after I left her. I am so glad she is wearing all of her styles!
I love this look, I told Traci to add a belt to complete the look, this gives her a little more definition.
That’s a little tip for all you ladies, make sure you find and wear items that cinch in at your waist. This will define your waist and make you look longer.
Thanks again Traci for letting Centsibly Southern raid your closet. I had a blast!
