We had a blast styling sweet Lee Ann. I have known her for a while and she just keeps me laughing.
Lee Ann, like all of us working and on-the-go mommies wanted to amp up her style. We all get stuck in that mommy world, where we love our yoga pants/workout gear. It just seems to work better for our life style.
I do the same thing ladies, but at some point we have to find our way back to that fun style we used to rock before marriage and kids. Voila! That’s where Centsibly Southern comes in.
I helped Lee Ann get rid of some of the old, transition some old to new, and made a list of new items she might want to purchase.
New styles, old styles, and new to you, all transitioned into one.
Enjoy the gorgeous Lee Ann’s fun new style.
And be sure to check out our fun, filled day of shopping on my next blog post.
Lee Ann is a great example when it comes to her understanding her style. And what I mean by that is she had items of clothing in her closet that fit her body type, but, she had a hard time piecing these items together.
In all the pictures you will see that all we did was add color, layers and added small detail to her wardrobe.
- Rolling your pants up and your sleeves gives you definition.
- Adding layers can bring all the details together and show off your best shape.
- Simple layering pieces like jewelry, a vest, scarf, purse, or jacket/blazer can take that simple outfit and really make it pop.
Along with giving you that amazing shape you already have.
Layering your blouses can elongate you and give you a fun style. Adding a light boot with a fitted pant gives you this same effect.
We are on a hunt for a fur vest, but she still looks great in a vest!
This was a problematic blouse for Lee Ann (we all have those). The tip is don’t get rid of it until you figure out how you can work it in with your style.
I wanted to show Lee Ann she could still wear it just by adding small layers. Then we took it from day to night.
With her heels…
I wanted you to see the small layers that I added to this simple blouse.
Lee Ann was not a fan of this red, ruffled blouse. I knew it would look great on her with just a little adjusting and layers. We made the blouse look more like a tunic.
Dressy to casual chic and colorful simply by adding small colors and layers.
A new dress and a new way to style it. We mixed colors and layers, which in return really brought this simple, cute, blue baby doll dress to life.
Lee Ann is ready for a night out on town!
OK, I wanted to add something fun and edgy to Lee Ann’s classic dress. So I found this black wrap belt from another outfit in her wardrobe and just added it to her dress.
These are simple things that you can do to your wardrobe ladies to amp up your style.
OK, here we took the same velvet blazer and made it more casual. This is a fun, easy way to save you money and have a new style.
