This southern gal loves denim. It is the perfect dress up or dress down, easy seasonal piece.

There is nothing like your favorite denim jeans or chambray blouse. Now, be careful of how you dress your denim, we don’t want to look like we stepped out of the Dukes of Hazzard.

Even though Daisy pulled off those denim shorts quite well, there is a time and a place, maybe your next costume party, to pull those denim shorts out.

Don’t fret, we are at a time in fashion where denim can be worn in a very professional and classy manner. Chambray blouses are perfect for any occasion. It’s great for professional, casual or even layering simple looks.

You can also pair chambray with your favorite denim pants, but be aware of how you mix these two. Make sure you have accessories to break up the style as well as keeping each denim piece a shade different.

I love a dark denim for any size or shape. Whether it’s a boot cut jean, straight leg, or jegging, the dark wash jean or pant is most flattering on all shapes.

Adding simple items like your favorite accessories, blazer, jacket, scarf and clutch/purse can take that simple denim outfit to a very stylish outfit.

Understanding how to work this trend into your wardrobe can involve some trial and error, but think about how much money you can save simply by buying a few of your favorite denim items and incorporating them in to all of your wardrobes.

Easy style and fun transitions. So throw away those old daisy dukes and pull out your new and improved denim that flatters your body and is perfect for any occasion.

Check out some fun styles I have put together for a classic take on denim.

Denim is the perfect staple piece of clothing to have fun with your current trends and colors. Denim is also an easy seasonal transition.
